12/7/16 Monroe Federal 2016 Tipp City Business of the Year
Lewis Renollet accepted the 2016 Tipp City Business of the Year award on behalf of Monroe Federal Savings & Loan at the Chamber of Commerce Annual Holiday Gala. Congratulations to the other awards recipients Gordon Pittenger, Sr. (Outstanding Citizen of the Year), Kristy Reis (Young Professional of the Year), and Frings and Bayliff Funeral Home, award accepted by Jim Bayliff (Small Business of the Year). Monroe Federal hosted the Vandalia Butler Chamber of Commerce’s November Business After Hours event. These monthly events give members of the Chamber of Commerce an opportunity to network with business owners within the community.
10/18/16 Vandalia Business Expo
Lenders Anthony Greene and Michael Boyde were excited to meet with residents at the 26th Annual Vandalia Business Community Expo hosted by the Vandalia-Butler Chamber of Commerce. The event was held at the Vandalia-Butler High School and featured over 70 area businesses, community organizations and civic groups.
Monroe Federal employees and their family members from the Tipp City, Vandalia, and Dayton offices participated in the 58th Annual Tipp City Mum Festival Parade. Parade participants passed candy and FREE samples out to the crowd. Our mascot was a big hit, too!
Monroe Federal employees and their family members from the Tipp City, Vandalia, and Dayton offices participated in the 38th Annual Air Show Parade. This year’s parade Grand Marshal was Rear Admiral John R. Haley, Commander of Naval Air Force Atlantic. He was joined by Myles Eckert, a 10-year old boy from Ohio who received the Congressional Medal of Honor Young Hero Award.
02/05/16 Carol Burgbacher Retires
Burgbacher began her career at Monroe Federal as a teller on Dec. 26, 1989, in Tipp City, where she later became the senior customer service representative and IRA administrator. Over the years, Burgbacher has befriended many customers. She has even been known to visit and assist customers in many ways outside of banking business. Burgbacher has always provided top-notch customer service and has a genuine attitude to help others in need. Burgbacher and her recently retired husband, Charlie, plan on spending more time with their grandchildren and traveling.
